From Barn to Pajta
Flóra and Ferenc Kvasznicza are the host couple behind Pajta in Őriszentpéter. In 2012, they left Budapest for the Őrség region, looking for something more grounded and honest. The old barn renovated by Ferenc’s parents was first intended for Hungarian folk dance, but they saw another possibility: a place where gastronomy, nature and culture could meet. From the beginning, they built relationships with local farmers, mapped the forests and fields around them, and created a restaurant that gives lasting value to guests, colleagues and the local community.
“We love what we do, and we wanted Pajta to become a place that belongs to the region, its people and everyone who sits at our table.”

Pajta
Pajta is a Michelin-starred destination restaurant in Őriszentpéter, surrounded by the forests, meadows and villages of the Őrség National Park. Opened in 2012 with only four tables, it has grown into an internationally recognised address while keeping a personal relationship with its guests. The kitchen is led by István Akács and Yazmin Salazar, whose shared work brings Hungarian ingredients together with subtle Mexican influences. With Kástu cabins nearby, Pajta offers a full experience built around gastronomy and nature.
