Tanja PintaričGrandparents Geza and Marija started the inn serving Slovenian fish, stews, and homemade bread. When restaurant Rajh moved to its current location in 1969, father Ignac and mother Marta expanded the menu to serve diners from Austria and the whole of former-Yugoslavia. But traditional favourites like bograč (traditional stew), boiled beef, and desserts like Prekmurje retaši always stayed on the menu.

Chef Tanja Pintarič is inspired by the beauty and vastness of the countryside. This way, she creates a way of life that combines countless flavours and possibilities in her uniquely imaginative cuisine. She aims to inspire guests to discover and nourish their love of food through the dishes she prepares. The menu at restaurant Rajh focuses on Slovenian specialties with regional fish, meat and vegetables, full of original, strong flavours. The courses are finished by a selection of exquisite desserts, including the famous and delicious ‘Prekmurska gibanica’ (layered strudel cake). The traditional dishes are inspired by the region’s local food and products. Each ingredient on the plate has its own name, origin, heritage, and its own story.
