The international association of chefs and restaurateurs enters a new phase of expansion in the region, welcoming new members in Argentina, Chile and Peru.
JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs Celebrates Its First Official Event in Latin America in Peru
Lima, Peru, 6 August 2026. JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs celebrated its first official event in Latin America in Lima, marking a milestone in the association’s international expansion and the beginning of a new chapter for the JRE community in the region.
The event took place at La Rosa Náutica, one of Lima’s most iconic restaurants, bringing together chefs, restaurateurs, strategic partners and members of the press to officially present JRE’s arrival in Latin America and its vision for developing a regional community connected to the association’s international network.
JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs currently brings together more than 420 chefs and restaurateurs across 21 countries, united by a shared vision of gastronomy founded on excellence, hospitality, culinary craftsmanship, sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and respect for local traditions and terroir.
With new members in Argentina, Chile and Peru, the association is beginning to build a Latin American community that will foster collaboration, knowledge exchange and new connections with JRE’s international network.

The Seven Founding Members of JRE Peru
During the event, the seven chefs and restaurateurs who make up the founding group of JRE Peru were officially introduced:

- Kent Zúñiga, KAO
- Ricardo Ehni, Tragaluz
- Angie Márquez, La Capitana
- Robert Dickson, Sala Omakase
Their membership lays the foundations for JRE Peru and reflects the diversity of the country’s contemporary culinary landscape, bringing together different concepts, careers and approaches to cuisine under JRE’s shared values.

An Intercontinental Step a Decade in the Making
JRE’s arrival in Latin America represents a particularly significant step for the association and is the result of an international vision developed over the past ten years.
The event in Lima is the first in a series of gatherings planned across Latin America, through which JRE will continue to develop its regional presence and connect Latin American chefs and restaurateurs with its international community.
With this first gathering in Peru, JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs officially opens a new chapter in its international history.
