Composition and Hospitality
Lisbon-born Catarina Monteiro brings a rare combination of kitchen experience, artistic training and hospitality to DUOO. She studied Ceramic Design, Visual and Performing Arts before focusing on cooking and completing professional training in International Cuisine and Gastronomies. Her career includes renowned restaurants in Lisbon and kitchen management at Eurostars Brisas do Lago Hotel in Brasília. At DUOO, she cooks alongside Leandro Silva while also shaping the dining room with elegance, communication and aesthetic sensitivity. Her presence helps turn the 12-seat counter into a composed, personal and highly attentive experience.

DUOO Gastro Theatre
DUOO Gastro Theatre is an intimate restaurant in the historic centre of Portimão, close to TEMPO Municipal Theatre. With only 12 seats around a Japanese-inspired counter, guests sit directly in front of the fully open kitchen and watch Leandro Silva and Catarina Monteiro cook each course. The name reflects the concept: DUOO refers to the chefs as partners in life and work, while Gastro Theatre captures the live, detailed nature of the experience. It is precise, immersive and warm, built for diners who enjoy seeing the craft behind the plate.
