Chef Daniel Schmidthaler only works with high-quality, fresh products from the region. His menus are based on game from local hunting grounds, freshly caught fish from the lake district, delicious forest mushrooms, and natural herbs. At restaurant Klassenzimmer, the chef presents regional specialties as well as sophisticated creations. Sometimes you can also find one or two Austrian delicacies on the 6- to 9-course sample menu. Expect excellent food-and-wine pairings.

In this area, much of the old has been preserved: from its Gothic architecture and untouched nature to the locals’ Low German dialect. It’s the perfect place for a quiet getaway.
