Chef and proprietor Malte Kuhn has used his experience to create the unique coffee shop come restaurant that is Maltes. From 2010-2013, he trained as a chef at the Hotel Dollenberg with chef Martin Herrmann and then earned a dual degree with a focus on hotel management.

At Maltes, the chefs skilfully take things back to the bare essentials, making the ingredients the focus of the set menu. The main vision is to reflect the taste of the region in a clear yet expressive way. The diverse flavours allow each individual dish to speak for itself and the menu remains consistent. Choose from a three, four, five or six-course tasting menu with wine pairing or simply choose from the limited yet interesting a la carte menu.
Maltes’ Ambiance
Warm and inviting, the hidden restaurant’s decor is classic and elegant with dimly lit tables, dark wooden floors and muted colours. The ambience allows the tasting menus to speak for themselves and each dish to stand out on the plate. The staff move effortlessly around the room, muted by the sound of chatter from the neighbouring tables but are never far away should guests require anything.
