Esslokal combines creative, imaginative recipes with high-quality standards and ingredients to create a unique, unpretentious dining experience. Chef Roland Huber combines regional and locally-sourced ingredients with more exotic flavours to create “feel-good” dishes for his guests. The humble vegetable is turned into something exciting with a Far Eastern twist, a feast for all the senses. The personally selected wine list at Esslokal features a selection of natural wines, local Austrian wines and everything in between to give wine lovers something new and unexpected.

The tranquil wine village of Hadersdorf, about 50 minutes from Vienna, lies in the middle of Austria's best white wine regions. The Wagram, Kamp, Krems and Traisen valleys are joined 20 minutes away by Wachau with its cultural and historical treasures such as Dürnstein and Melk its famous stone terraces, which have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the restaurant, it is only a few kilometres to three of Austria's most legendary wine cellars: Gobelsburg Castle, Bründlmayer and Bernhard Ott. The more than 1,000-year-old wine town of Krems attracts visitors with its romance, modern art and quirky music festivals, while nearby neo-Gothic Grafenegg Castle is home to one of Europe's most well-known classical music festivals.
