His journey took him from Campania’s Michelin-starred kitchens to Central America, where he expanded his perspective before returning home to open Il Principe. With a deep respect for his heritage and an instinct for innovation, he reinterprets the dishes of his childhood with contemporary techniques and bold creativity. His cuisine is a reflection of his travels, his roots, and his unwavering passion for the flavours of Naples.

In central Pompeii, a short walk from the Basilica of the Beata Vergine del Rosario and the entrance to the archaeological site, Restaurant Il Principe Ristorante offers an intimate, lively setting. The room is elegant yet informal, with a small inner courtyard and personal details in the décor that give the place an authentic feel. Making it suited to both locals and visitors. In the kitchen, JRE chef Gian Marco Carli gives the Neapolitan territory a contemporary touch. Campanian and Vesuvian references lead a seasonal, lighter menu built on ingredients from Vesuvius, the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese and the sea.
