ADMISSION CRITERIA
How to become a JRE-Jeunes Restaurateur
The JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs is not an association you can simply join. We have a strict criteria that we expect all new members to meet:
JRE’s are owners of their restaurant or have shares in the business.
JRE’s must be between 23 and 42 years of age to enter membership.
JRE’s are mentioned in leading national culinary guides.
JRE’s endorse the Manifesto and comply with the terms and conditions.
JRE’s support our philosophy of ‘never-ending passion’.
JRE’s endeavour to achieve the highest culinary level.
JRE’s are awarded the honorary member status at the age of 50.
RECOMMENDATION OR APPLICATION
Only those candidates recommended by at least two members of the JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs will be accepted. In addition, members take on a sponsorship and support the applicant on his or her way into the world of JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs. Active applications can be made by sending a letter of intent to the relevant country office of JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs.
REVIEW
The application will be examined by the board of directors. In addition, the question of regional preservation is clarified in the applicant's region. At least two colleagues visit the JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs applicant afterwards to get an impression of the professional , and especially the human side, of the applicant.
VOTE
In a general meeting, the admission of the candidate is decided by open vote. Before the vote, the two members who have visited the candidate's restaurant give their assessment.
