Peter and Nina Pichler are the chefs at the helm of the Naturhotel Molzbachhof’s gourmet restaurant Gaumenkitzel. After years in top restaurants in Austria, Portugal and England, the young couple returned to Austria to take over Peter’s parents' business in 2016, which was founded by his grandfather in 1969.
Creative, modern cuisine
The cuisine at the Gaumenkitzel restaurant at Molzbachhof is based on the idea of “Cook the Garden” meaning that all ingredients used are from Peter and Nina’s own garden or from the local area. All meat is organically sourced from local farmers and the creative modern cuisine served at the restaurant is a homage to the beautiful Austrian landscape. All dishes are also offered as part of the half-board option for guests staying at the hotel. Also, for wine connoisseurs, the wine list focuses on Austrian varieties, including some rare wines among the older vintages as well as organic and natural wines.

The Molzbachhof is a 4* wellness hotel in Kirchberg am Wechsel was built completely out of wood in 2017 and can host 92 guests. Molzbachhof was built using only natural materials and without the use of nails or varnish. The hotel boasts five different saunas, a heated outdoor pool, a natural bathing pond and a spacious garden area to help guests to relax. There is also a choice of three different restaurant areas serving up exquisite local cuisine.
