The Freedom of Fine Dining: #KIČNPARTY at Grič
At JRE, we believed that the most inspiring cuisine emerged when chefs shared space, ideas, and genuine curiosity. #KIČNPARTY at Grič embodied that philosophy by stripping fine dining of formality and opening the kitchen to everyone. It became a night where the creative flow of the chefs shaped the atmosphere, and guests were free to move, speak, and experience the craft behind each dish up close. This edition brought together the distinct styles of Luka Košir and guest chef Alexander Wulf from Germany’s Bistro Troyka — a meeting of precision, personality, and deep respect for ingredients.
#KIČNPARTY was Grič’s way of showing what fine dining looked like when the usual rules were set aside. There was no fixed seating and no rigid structure — instead, the evening unfolded through movement, spontaneity, and direct connection between chefs and guests. The kitchen became the heart of the event, offering an unfiltered view into how ideas were exchanged, techniques refined, and dishes created in real time.
The collaboration between Luka Košir (Grič, JRE-Slovenia) and Alexander Wulf (Troyka, JRE-Germany) reflected the core values of JRE: authenticity, shared learning, and open creative dialogue. Wulf’s style — informed by precision and cultural depth — blended naturally with Grič’s philosophy of seasonality, fermentation, and local sourcing. The intention was never to compete, but to merge perspectives, test new expressions, and co-create a menu that existed only for this one night.
Guests wandered freely, stepped into the kitchen, and engaged in conversations that flowed as openly as the dishes themselves. The evening felt less like a formal dinner and more like a living culinary studio, where chefs, producers, and visitors stood on equal ground.
#KIČNPARTY was defined not by spectacle, but by openness. It offered chefs a rare chance to step outside the rhythm of everyday service, allowed guests to understand cuisine through closeness rather than distance, and turned shared passion for craftsmanship into the true highlight of the night.
