Cooking has always been chef Jeroen van der Steen's passion, ever since he was a young boy. His interest grew through his part-time job as a kitchen assistant during his high school years.
After enrolling in culinary school, he completed his studies very fast. After this, chef Jeroen developed a preference for fine-dining and patisserie. Having gained experience at a couple of restaurants in the Netherlands, he moved to Bonaire in an attempt to broaden his horizons.
Here, he met his partner Tiffany Lorist. A few years later, Tiffany took over At Sea, where she started working as a hostess. Then in 2018, Tiffany and Jeroen decided to join forces and continue restaurant At Sea together.

Restaurant At Sea is located on Bonaire, one of the world's most beautiful islands. The building dates back to a fishing house in 1912 and is situated on the Kralendijk boulevard. A beautiful sunset can be enjoyed from the terrace over dinner, which overlooks the Caribbean Sea.
