Schüpbärg-Beizli

Taking inspiration from its surroundings, Beizli’s cuisine reinterprets regional dishes and traditional Swiss recipes using locally sourced ingredients. The beef used is from the local farm, and the rapeseed oil, potatoes and eggs are from his neighbour - a fine example of the “farm-to-plate” philosophy. The extensive wine list is thoroughly Swiss with all of the wines having been personally selected by Christoph and Sarah and all starting off as grapes harvested in Swiss vineyards.

Beizli offers guests a bright, airy dining space with neutral shades, elegant lighting and a relaxed atmosphere that is convivial yet intimate. There is also a large terrace that can seat up to 50 guests for those that prefer to dine al fresco in the cooler months. The friendly and efficient staff are more than willing to discuss the day’s freshest ingredients and ensure that every aspect of the dining experience is one to remember.

Although often considered to be a remote location, in part due to the lack of public transport connections and partly due to being surrounded by the striking Jura mountain range, Schüpbärg is ideal for short hikes and outdoor activities. The town is also only 15 minutes from Bern and also within easy reach of Biel.
