Seventh-generation Winemaker

Charles de Bournet Marnier Lapostolle is the seventh-generation winemaker behind Clos Apalta, continuing a family story that began when Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle and Cyril de Bournet founded the winery in Chile in 1994. Since taking the helm in 2013, he has focused on protecting the estate’s unique microclimate and refining the Clos Apalta style with a Grand Cru mindset. Organic and biodynamic-inspired vineyard work is part of that commitment, aiming to keep the fruit, the environment and the people who work the vines in balance.
