Herman Cooijmans

Chef Herman Cooijmans does not want to be predictable. Instead, he goes for unexpected and exciting flavour combinations at restaurant Eden. Yet in a refined way and with products of the highest quality. His goal is to excel with new taste combinations and dishes that are at the forefront of culinary trends. After working with Robin Groos at Hostellerie Vangaelen in Heeze for a long time, chef Herman Cooijmans joined the Michelin-awarded kitchens of Wollerich in Sint-Oedenrode and De Treeswijkhoeve in Waalre. Then in 2017, as chef of restaurant Juliana in Valkenburg, he received a Bib Gourmand award for his excellent skills. After this, Herman joined forces again with Robin and opened restaurant Eden.

And this is exactly what this fine-dining spot strives for. Guests must be pampered as well as provided with top-notch service and products. Restaurant Eden in Valkenswaard combines the best qualities of chef Herman Cooijmans and host and sommelier Robin Groos. For many years, they worked together in Heeze at Hostellerie Vangaelen. After going their separate ways, they realized a joint dream of hospitality in their province with restaurant Eden.
