Cristian Benvenuto
Cristian BenvenutoChef Cristian Benvenuto was born in Carate Brianza in 1986 and started early, working beside his father in the family pizzeria. After training at the Ballerini Institute in Seregno, he built experience across restaurants and pastry kitchens in Lombardy, then expanded into teaching and consultancy for restaurants and private events.

Benvenuto’s Kitchen
JRE chef Cristian Benvenuto works at the meeting point of Sicilian memory and contemporary Mediterranean technique. You’ll recognise the inspiration in the ingredients, aromas, and seasoning, drawn from Southern Italy and interpreted with precision. Seasonality leads the menu, and the ingredient stays central, handled with a clean, modern approach that keeps flavours clear. The aim is refinement without complication: plates that feel detailed, measured, and expressive, where creativity shows up in how the parts come together, not in unnecessary decoration.
For Celebrations
La Filanda is well suited to celebrations where you want the setting and the cooking to carry the evening. The layout offers intimacy even when the tables are full, with separate rooms that work naturally for small groups, anniversaries, and business dinners that need privacy. Chef Benvenuto’s background in events and consulting shows in the structure of the experience: timing, attention to guests, and a menu designed to keep the meal engaging from start to finish. If you’re planning something special, this is the place.
Around Macherio
Macherio sits in the Brianza area, a practical base for exploring Lombardy beyond Milan. Monza is close, with Monza Park and the Royal Villa, and the Monza circuit draws visitors during major race weekends. Milan is within easy reach for museums, shopping, and day trips, while the local area stays quieter and residential. That mix is part of the appeal: you can spend the day in the city or in the parks, then return to Macherio for an evening that feels focused and well looked after.
Recovered Ingredients
A distinctive part of Benvenuto’s work is his interest in “recovered” cuisine: using undervalued ingredients and reducing waste through technique and planning. It’s an approach he has brought into the public eye as well, including on TV, and it fits his wider philosophy of giving value to simple raw materials. Alongside the restaurant, he is active in the professional community too, with a role in Euro-Toques in Lombardy, which reflects his focus on craft, training, and culinary culture.
