Seasonal Cooking, With Freedom and Flair
Davine’s cooking is shaped by top-level experience, but the goal at Hēdonē is not to copy “star” formality. She focuses on seasonal ingredients, pure flavours and a menu that can move. One course might nod to Indian street food, the next stays classic and precise. The common thread is balance and confidence: bold combinations, but always chosen because they taste right. Expect a classy, carefully paced menu that feels modern, sometimes playful, and never stiff.
Local Art That Changes Every Season
Beyond the menu, Hēdonē keeps the experience moving through its rotating art selection. Every 12 weeks, new local works come in and give the room a fresh look, while keeping that “home” feeling intact. It’s a small detail, but it fits the way Davine and Nicholas think: the night should feel complete, not just food on plates. If a piece catches your eye, you can buy it and take a part of the restaurant home with you.
A Calm House, A Stylish Room
Hēdonē sits in a terraced house built around 1850, and the atmosphere follows that scale. Think calm, homely and intimate, with a stylish, contemporary interior. There’s an aperitif and coffee lounge at the front, and an open kitchen that brings you close to the craft without turning it into a show.
The “Eat at Davine and Nicholas” Feeling
Hēdonē chose a small-scale concept on purpose. Davine and Nicholas want guests to feel so comfortable that, after a while, you don’t say “let’s go to a restaurant”, you say “let’s go eat at Davine and Nicholas again”. That’s also why they work without extra staff. It keeps the evening spontaneous, personal and familiar, while the cooking stays at a seriously high level.
Wines Curated With Care, Also for Home
Wine is part of the story at Hēdonē. Nicholas selects bottles that fit the flavours on the plate and lifts the menu course by course. The wine list can also be found online, so you can explore the selection in detail, and order wines for home delivery. It’s a nice extension of the experience: the same thoughtful choices, just enjoyed at your own table.
“At Hēdonē, it’s all about pure enjoyment, just as the name suggests.”
