Rathauskeller

Stefan Meier's creations are exclusively served at Gasthaus Rathauskeller. The best-known classic dishes have occasionally been reinterpreted.  Whenever possible, Rathauskeller restaurant works with local farms that provide chef Stefan Meier with vegetables, fruits, and meat from controlled production. Stefan also takes pride in serving up fresh fish caught in the local region. Swiss specialties and traditional, classic, upscale Swiss cuisine are featured on the menu. If you look at the wine list, you will find rare French wines, as well as 80 different top Bordeaux wines.

Situated in a medieval building with colorful stained glass windows, dining at Rathauskeller will take you back in time. The historic dining rooms have a stunning wooden ceiling, decorated with elaborately carved patterns. Your eyes will have a feast for themselves, marveling at all the details in the restaurant’s interior. Located close to Lake Zug, the Rathouskeller restaurant is within walking distance of the water. Other sights in the area include the museum Kunsthaus Zug and the 52-meter high Zytturm Clocktower.
