L’impératif d’éole

L’impératif d’éole

Classic meets contemporary at hotel restaurant L'Impératif. Located in Le chateau d’Arondeau, a majestic 19th-century castle on the gorgeous Arondeau estate, it’s hard to imagine a better backdrop for your lunch or dinner. The kitchen is led by one of Belgium’s most renowned chefs, Benoît Neusy. It’s no surprise that the restaurant’s cuisine was honoured with multiple awards, including a Michelin star, 3 Gault Millau hoods, and 16/20 Gault Millau points. The elegant and comfortable dining area offers a direct view of the castle’s lake and lush 15-hectare garden. If the weather allows it, you can enjoy your meal on the restaurant’s beautiful and sunny terrace.

Even though he’s one of Belgium’s most prestigious chefs, Benoît Neusy remains to be a tireless worker who’s continuously on the quest for perfection. Instead of choosing the road well-traveled, he keeps challenging his cooking skills. This results in ever-evolving techniques and innovative dishes.

L’impératif d’éole’s cuisine

This hotel restaurant’s daring menu provides you with only the very best that sea and soil have to offer. Inside the castle, you can indulge in seasonal, high-end dishes that are created with great technical control. Expect a 3-course menu with dishes such as tonnato-style baked veal sweetbreads, lemon confit, capers, and anchovies from Cantabria. Of course, the menu is complemented by an exciting wine list. During summer, you can also experience “La Terrasse”: a culinary barbecue on the castle’s terrace, in the Arondeau estate’s gorgeous garden. Here, you can enjoy meat and fish grilled on the Ofyr barbecues. Simple yet refined outdoor cooking by chef Benoît Neusy and his team. This menu features tapas and other starters, matured meats, seafood, and the chef's “confinades”. The courses are topped off with a delicious dessert.
