Classic German cuisine
The cuisine at restaurant Löwen is based on a long tradition but is open to modern times. Chef Alexander Ruhland‘s dishes are strongly inspired by seasonal and regional influences and include exquisite flavour combinations, based on authentic recipes. Specialties on the menu include the delicious pickled salmon with melon, guacamole, yuzu, mustard, char caviar and cucumber spaghettinis; and the roasted venison with Sumatra pepper jus, chanterelles, celery, and noodle bags. Each dish can be perfectly paired with a glass of wine, to complete your gastronomic experience.
Restaurant Löwen is located in Oberopfingen, part of the district of Baden-Württemberg in Southern Germany. Interesting sights in the area include the medieval town of Tübingen, as well as Freiburg with the renowned "Bächle", the watercourses meandering around the alleys of the old city. The old border and university town of Constance on the southern shore are surrounded by the beautiful island of Reichenau, and “Flower Island” Mainau. Also worth visiting is the university town of Heidelberg, with its many baroque red sandstone houses.
