Eva-Maria PürmayerAfter a sudden tragedy struck the family, Eva-Maria Pürmayer took over the management of her parents’ business overnight in 2017 as the fifth generation. Her parents had already transformed the hotel, together with its hospitality and agricultural roots, into an innovative concept in the 1990s, specializing in “adults only” and couples’ travel – though in a very different way than today.

Chef Thomas Hofer’s sophisticated cuisine is best described as "Mühlviertler mouth art". Being extremely passionate, Thomas is always looking for new ways to create à la carte dishes with a surprising twist. The Bergergut’s award-winning cuisine revolves around regional Mühlviertler dishes, complemented by a variety of beer, and a small selection of refined wines.
