Thomas Hofer

Inspired by his mother and grandmother’s love for cooking and the Mühlviertel cuisine, chef Thomas Hofer quickly discovered his own passion for cooking. As a young apprentice, he started out working in gourmet restaurants across the country, from Salzburg to the Arlberg. Having perfected his culinary skills, Thomas opened his own restaurant in 2013, Culinariat in Hellmonsödt, together with Eva-Maria Pürmayer. Meanwhile, he earned two toques, two Gault Millau hoods, and was named one of the greatest talents in the culinary industry by Gault Millau. Having worked as head chef at hotel restaurant Bergergut before, chef Thomas Hofer returned in 2016 and now showcases his exciting multiple-award-winning cuisine at this fantastic fine-dining location.
