Chef Roman Pichler has been running Moritz for over ten years alongside Anja-Margaretha Moritz and together, they have turned it into a jewel with a flawless reputation in the local region. Described as “a culinary experience through the seasons”, Roman’s innovative menu takes inspiration from the local nature and the fertile land of the region and his style of cooking very much inhabits the concept of “Slow Food”. He uses fresh ingredients in various ways, constantly evolving, experimenting and refining his recipes. Anja-Margaretha manages the floor and ensures that her guests have everything they could possibly need to make their visit to Moritz one to remember. Together, this team of chef and maître d' look after every single detail and leave nothing to chance.

“Small but mighty” is the motto of Moritz, a tiny restaurant located in south-eastern Carinthia that provides an intimate experience for 15 guests across five tables. The restaurant is warm and inviting with a subtle yet expertly designed interior and also boasts a beautiful, romantic garden to enjoy in the warmer months of the year. Guests can choose between the extensive à la carte menu or opt for one of the 5 or 7-course menus, all accompanied by a wide selection of local and international wines.
