The Dysart Petersham Retains Michelin Star for Seventh Consecutive Year

JRE-UK member The Dysart Petersham has retained its Michelin Star for the seventh consecutive year, reaffirming its position among the UK's leading dining destinations. Announced at the Michelin Guide Ceremony for Great Britain and Ireland in Dublin, the accolade recognises the restaurant's continued commitment to exceptional cuisine, hospitality and sustainability.

A Recognition of Consistency and Excellence

For Managing Director Barny Taylor, the Michelin Star represents far more than a single achievement. It reflects the consistency, craftsmanship and dedication that underpin every aspect of the restaurant, from classical cooking techniques and carefully sourced ingredients to thoughtful wine pairings and attentive service.

Reflecting on the recognition, Taylor explained that the award embodies the values that guide the restaurant every day: a commitment to excellence, authentic classical cooking, sustainability and genuine hospitality.

"We see the renewal of our Michelin Star as a reflection of consistency, craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality. It recognises our focus on natural flavour, classical cooking, thoughtful wine pairings and teamwork for the benefit of every guest."

For Taylor, the dining experience extends beyond what is served on the plate. He believes that quality, sustainability and warm hospitality should come together to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

A Special Moment in Dublin

This year's Michelin Guide Ceremony held particular significance for Head Chef Kenneth Culhane, who hails from southwest Ireland and began his culinary career in Dublin before building an acclaimed career in the UK.

"It was especially meaningful to celebrate this achievement in Ireland," said Culhane. "To be recognised alongside some of the greatest names in British and Irish hospitality is a privilege. This success is only possible because of the talent, passion and dedication of our entire team."

A Roux Scholar and member of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Culhane recently also served as a judge for the Euro-Toques Ireland Chef of the Year competition.

Recognition Beyond Michelin

The Michelin Star is one of several recent accolades for The Dysart Petersham. The restaurant holds three AA Rosettes and has once again received the AA's Notable Wine List Award for 2025/26. It also remains one of only a small number of London restaurants featured in the European rankings of Opinionated About Dining.

Managing Director Barny Taylor has likewise earned recognition within the JRE community, winning a Europe-wide cocktail competition organised by JRE in 2025 and being nominated for the JRE Sommelier of the Year Award 2026.

Rooted in Sustainability

Sustainability remains central to The Dysart Petersham's philosophy. Working closely with small-scale producers across the UK and Ireland, the team champions seasonal ingredients, responsible sourcing and a thoughtful approach to hospitality.

Located in a beautifully restored Arts and Crafts building overlooking Richmond Park, The Dysart Petersham continues to combine Michelin-starred dining with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, demonstrating the quality, creativity and dedication that have earned it recognition year after year.
