Seasonal and regional ingredients are the main focus of every dish that chef Roman Pichler produces. He has built up an extensive network of producers and manufacturers, tends to his own garden and creates dishes that are always flavourful and innovative.  The restaurant offers an extensive à la carte menu although most guests choose the 5 or 7-course "Carte Blanche" menu offered at the table. The carefully curated wine list comprises around 150 items, including well-known top wines from Austria and neighbouring countries, as well as lesser-known yet still equally as delicious, natural wines.

Grafenstein, about 15 km from Klagenfurt, is situated at the foot of the wooded hills of the Sattnitz and attracts visitors with its rural charm and tranquillity in the midst of a striking natural landscape. A wide variety of hiking, cycling, model flying, clay pigeon shooting, tennis or fishing provides variety, as do nearby excursion destinations, such as Lake Wörthersee or Lake Klopeiner See, the Obir stalactite caves or the imposing Hochosterwitz Castle. In addition, the romantic parish church, once the castle of the Orsini-Rosenberg princes and expanded in the Baroque period with magnificent rococo frescos, is one of the most beautiful in Carinthia.
