Chef Andrea Monesi was born in Novara in 1991 and since he was a child has had a keen interest and passion for food and the many different ways that ingredients can be used. Standing in his family kitchen, he observed his parents cooking and decided there and then that this would be the career path that he would follow.

Locates in a beautiful building covered in wisteria and dating back to the 1800s, Locanda di Orta is a small, intimate restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine, rooted in Italian tradition but with some exotic, international twists. The decor of the restaurant fully embraces the foliage theme of the exterior with floral motifs adorning the walls and the ceiling and provides a cosy place to dine.
