Ristorante Due Spade

Ristorante Due Spade is situated on the premises of an old spinning mill and the original chimney stack is still visible above the building making it stand out amongst the other buildings in the area. Chef Lorenzo Di Bari prides himself and his team on using locally sourced ingredients that are in season to produce authentic home-cooked Italian food in a relaxed yet modern environment.

The cuisine at Due Spade takes its inspiration from the local area and incorporates a zero-waste style of cooking. Fresh pasta, risotto, cheeses from Lombardy and fresh meats take centre stage while Lorenzo’s passion for fish is also noticeable with dishes such as Sicilian tuna and shrimp tartare now taking up permanent residence on the 35-year old menu. Guests will also be treated to a selection of small dishes that Lorenzo prepares for them to enjoy while they wait for their main dishes. Homemade bread, spicy oils made with chillies from the garden and local almonds are just some of the small amuse-bouches that Lorenzo has churned out for his appreciative and hungry guests.

Charmingly family-friendly, Due Spade has seating available both inside and on the terrace, all situated around the large chimney of the old mill. Truly a family affair, Daniele, Lorenzo's uncle, and his mother Marzia are in charge of the dining room while Lorenzo and his team are in charge of the kitchen. Due Spade harmoniously blends the Italian warmth of the past with exciting, fun and quirky touches of the future.
