Seafood, with research
The cooking at Madonnina del Pescatore is built around fish and seafood, handled with a mix of technique and constant testing. New dishes are added regularly, often developed in the laboratory next to the restaurant using specialised food technology. Guests can choose between two tasting menus: “Ricordi d'infanzia & Mariella 1984-2024”, focused on Cedroni’s classic dishes, and “Luca e Moreno… Il Viaggio di Marco Polo”, which brings in Asian and Middle Eastern influences. The style is detailed and layered, with sauces, citrus, spices and herbs used to shape flavour with precision.
Two tasting journeys
The two tasting menus are designed as two different ways to understand the house. One returns to signature dishes from across the restaurant’s history, the other follows a wider flavour map, shaped with the sous-chef Luca Abbadir. Alongside the menus, Madonnina keeps a strong link to the ingredients outside the kitchen. The sea garden near the beach supplies vegetables influenced by salty air, and the team uses that produce to support the seafood focus without forcing the contrast.
On the Marzocca seafront
Madonnina del Pescatore sits at Lido di Marzocca, on the Adriatic coast in the Marche region, a short distance from Senigallia and the province of Ancona. The restaurant is right on the seafront, close enough to the sand that lunch can feel like the natural time to visit. In front there’s sea and an open beach; behind there are green hills and small towns with a slower rhythm than Italy’s larger coastal centres. It’s a setting that suits a long meal and a focused menu.
Wine and the dining room
The dining room is part of why people return. Mariella Organi leads service with a steady hand and keeps the experience personal, even at two Michelin Star level. The wine list has a clear point of view too, including a popular selection of French sparkling wines, alongside strong regional references such as Verdicchio. Guests who like to explore can also expect guidance by the glass, with pairings chosen to support the complexity of the menu rather than compete with it.
“A two Michelin Star table by the sea, always in motion.”
