Restaurant Zur Alten Post
The foundation for its renowned kitchen was laid by the award-winning owner and chef Hans Stefan Steinheuer. But today, it’s his son-in-law who builds on the family’s culinary tradition and Hans’ classic cuisine: head chef Christian Binder. Chef Christian excellently showcases a cooking style that’s playful and experimental, product-related and refined. Expect regional specialties with subtle international influences.
Zur Alten Post’s cuisine

With finesse and transparency, chef Christian Binder showcases an interplay of tastes and aromas that’s simply unparalleled. On the menu, you’ll discover regional delicacies with a subtle international twist. Traditional yet innovative. Among the chef’s specialties are the kaisergranat with carrot, pumpkin and kaffir lime brew; and the saddle of venison with chanterelles and young beetroot. As for dessert, the vineyard peach with almonds, wood sorrel and Moscato sorbet is one of the diners’ favourites. Next to the impressive dishes, the restaurant also has an excellent wine cellar. In fact, Zur Alten Post’s wine list has the highest rating from "Der Metternich".
