In 2005, he took over restaurant 't Vlasbloemeken together with his partner, sommelier Bianca van Bochove. Eric is sincerely committed to offering the best seafood, soil, and livestock to his guests.

The slogan at restaurant 't Vlasbloemeken is: "All good things are brought from the sea, cattle and field". Eric and Bianca know there’s many beautiful products available in Zeeland, there really is no need to get it from anywhere else. Chef Eric van Bochove’s goal is to present you with food that reflects the best of the sea, soil, and livestock, and his authentic cuisine does not disappoint. Eric loves working with regional produce such as lobster from the Oosterschelde river and lamb from Zeeland. He prepares them in the traditional way in order to respect their wonderful flavours. The garnishes and textures of his dishes create a more contemporary appearance. The charming hostess and sommelier Bianca van Bochove takes good care of her guests, providing excellent wine recommendations. The extensive wine list offers wines from the best international wine regions, complementing each dish into perfection.

Restaurant ‘t Vlasbloemeken is situated in the small town of Koewacht, right on the Dutch-Belgian border. The area is great for hiking and has many cycling paths. Interesting sights nearby include art gallery Verbeke Foundation in Stekene, Belgium (5 kilometers), and the beautiful Heidebos nature area in Wachtebeke, Belgium (7 kilometers).
