Restaurant Apicius serves modern French haute cuisine with an international twist. Specialties on the menu include Scottish salmon and imperial caviar with beetroot, dill and sour cream, and the delicious Nantaiser duck with aromas from Asia, cabbage, sesame and enoki. Most of the ingredients are grown in the restaurant's vegetable and herb garden. It’s no wonder the extraordinary high-quality cuisine of restaurant Apicius has been awarded a coveted Michelin star, as well as 17 Gault Millau points. Good to know: vegetarian options are available upon request. Each dish can be perfectly paired with an excellent glass of wine.

Restaurant Apicius is located in Bad Zwischenahn, a town in the low-lying Ammerland district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The Ammerland area is known for its unique park landscape. It is popular to take bicycle tours in the area any time of year, but especially during rhododendron season. The Zwischenahner lake also creates many opportunities for watersport activities, including surfing, sailing, and swimming. The hotel offers guided tours to the surrounding area several times a week.
