Teresa Gutiérrez runs restaurant Azafrán in Villarrobledo, Spain. Teresa has worked in many renowned restaurants and has done a number of TV appearances as a chef. She also is the Ambassador of the DOP Azafrán de La Mancha, fueled by her love for the exclusive sheep cheese from La Mancha. At her very own restaurant Azafrán, she serves exquisite modern Manchega cuisine.

The contemporary-style cuisine of restaurant Azafrán is influenced by Manchego roots, slightly adapted for our modern day. With her dishes, Teresa always respects the native products such as fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms. Her recipes include Manchego lamb, sheep cheese from La Mancha, and game meat. Also, Teresa holds a degree in dietetics and nutrition, which creates a great combination of gastronomy and a balanced diet. Restaurant guests can enjoy dishes such as "atascaburras" croquettes in La Mancha style, preserved pork loin with salmorejo and ali-oli on toast, and Albacete-style "ajopringue" with foie gras on the menu. The wine list includes 120 wines of which the majority is from Castilla La Mancha.
Restaurant Azafrán is located in the Spanish city Villarrobledo, in the province of Albacete, and is famous for the world's largest area covered by vineyards. Many of which you can taste at the restaurant and try out for yourself. Tourists come from near and far to enjoy various events, including the Carnival, the ViñaRock Music Festival, and the International Chess Open 'Ciudad de Villarrobledo'.
