Grega RepovžGrega Repovž is the head of the family-run Gostilna Repovž. His enthusiasm ensures the vision passed down from his parents and grandparents. Proudly calling himself an innkeeper, or "birt," he oversees the restaurant where his mother and wife, Sabina Repovž, reign in the kitchen. A passionate food and wine enthusiast, Grega holds a Level 3 sommelier certification and has completed the international WSET III course. In 2021, Gault & Millau named him the best sommelier in Slovenia. Grega is dedicated to discovering unique, lesser-known wines, especially from local Dolenjska winemakers, with whom he collaborates closely. He also handles all marketing activities and hosts Slovenia's first gastronomy podcast, "Sladko-kisli svet." Under his leadership, Gostilna Repovž proudly holds a Green Michelin Star and other accolades.

Sabina RepovžGostilna Repovž, located in Šentjanž at the crossroads of Posavje and Dolenjska, has been a family-owned inn for over 300 years. It offers an authentic Slovenian rural experience and contemporary farm cuisine. Sabina has taken over the role of head chef from her mother-in-law Meta and, together with husband Gregor, his sister Urška and brother Anže, they run the inn with great passion and dedication. The restaurant is renowned for using the finest local ingredients and traditional recipes, skillfully combined with modern culinary techniques. With their organic farm and commitment to sustainable living, the Repovž family sets an example for contemporary Slovenian cuisine and rural hospitality.

The culinary philosophy at restaurant Gostilna Repovž is simple. Tradition, childhood memories, and the family’s own farm and surrounding products inspire the dishes. The chefs create flavours that reflect Grega Repovž ‘s mother Metka’s experience and knowledge, combined with a contemporary view. Exciting favorites on the menu include braised Krškopolje pork, and for those with a sweet tooth: a divine snowball meringue.
Organic farm & shop
The family’s organic farm is their pride and joy. Here, they produce the majority of the food that is used in the restaurant. Throughout the year, they grow significant quantities of various kinds of fruit, mainly Topaz apples. The farm also produces grains such as spelt and buckwheat, which are used to prepare bread and biscuits. The herb garden bursts with fresh herbs that add flavor and appeal to the dishes. You can visit the small farm shop that features delicacies that are available in the restaurant, such as homemade marmalade, apple juice, apple vinegar, dried apples, different kinds of liqueurs, wine, and much more. Restaurant Gostilna Repovž is located in the middle of Šentjanž, next to the historic St. Baptist church, surrounded by nature. Sights in the area include the stunning Sevnica castle, where special events are held in June. The area is also great for hiking and cycling lovers.

Gostilna Repovž also offers guests a chance to spend the night. The hotel has four wood-paneled rooms that are simple but warm, and include everything you need. Make sure to try the ˝royal˝ breakfast which is prepared for you in the morning and includes several types of homemade products like marmalade, honey, yogurt, apple juice, some sweets, dried fruits, and nuts.
