He is a grill-master and works hard to create good food and make impressive dishes out of humble ingredients such as his famous Brač lamb tripe in tomato sauce but there is a wide choice of less ‘exotic’ adventures. Ante derives inspiration from the island, and he feels privileged to collaborate with local farmers on Brač. This is how he adds a contemporary touch to his Mediterranean dishes. His entire cooking philosophy revolves around three words: homemade, seasonal, and regional, with which Ante interprets traditional Mediterranean dishes in his modern eclectic style. Creativity, refinement, a combination of flavours and textures, an emphasis on homemade and a clear connection with the island describes the power of his kitchen."

"The Lemongarden restaurant is built along the waterfront as an important part of the Heritage Hotel, situated in the one of the three renovated, 300-year-old houses in the centre of Dalmatian village Sutivan. Luxuriously decorated along the theme of a lemon tree, it’s located in a renovated building in accordance with the requirements of the conservators for this protected cultural property. For more than 700 years, Brač was part of the Venetian empire, and the Venetians had a significant influence on the island. The chef's culinary philosophy leans heavily towards the Mediterranean, reflected in many of his dishes. The use of the freshest, high-quality ingredients, along with contemporary cooking techniques and skills of the Lemongarden team, results in stunning and appealing dishes. Starting with greetings from the kitchen, homemade bread, and the restaurant’s own extra virgin olive oil, continuing with the carefully prepared, refined dishes that will meet the most demanding expectations.
