Gennaro Esposito

Tradition, Precision, and Creative Drive

Born in Vico Equense in 1970, chef Gennaro Esposito grew up in a family where cooking started with the land. His mother and grandfather farmed locally, shaping his instinct for seasonal produce, while an uncle who was a pastry chef sparked a lasting love for technique and detail. Two mentors defined his path: Gianfranco Vissani, who opened the door to creativity, and Alain Ducasse, who taught rigour, organisation and discipline. He earned his first Michelin star in 2001, a second in 2008, and remains a leading voice in Italian gastronomy.
